What is nearby?
Secure underground parking at Thistle Kensington Gardens Hotel.
Very central, yet ideally situated just outside the congestion charge zone opposite Hyde Park.
Queensway underground station is only a two minute stroll up the road, with Lancaster Gate Station a three minute walk in the other direction.
The hotel sits conveniently next to a petrol station (Shell Bayswater).
The height restriction is 1.8m.
Easy parking, although having to get the ticket validated by hotel reception on departure was a bit of a faff. Space felt secure and it was reassuring to find it brightly lit late at night.
We parked here for two nights whilst we had a short break in London and stayed at the nearby DoubleTree by Hilton Hyde Park. The car park was perfect for our needs. Clear directions and simple entry instructions, friendly and helpful reception staff who explained we could use any space when I went upstairs to check (I wasn't sure if there were specific spaces allocated to Just Park users but they said we could park anywhere). As clean and tidy as you'd expect for an underground car park. We arrived and departed in day light so not sure what it'd be like to use at night but during the day it's very bright and we felt safe (one review I read said that they felt unsafe?). We were both confused by several other reviews saying the spaces were tight as they seemed as wide as any standard spaces to us... I'm terrible at parking but I didn't think it was tight at all. The staff at the Thistle were very helpful allowing us to use their changing facilities for our baby before we left and feed her whilst we had a drink in the lounge. All in all, pricey for two nights but roughly what I'd expect to pay for being so close to central London. Would definitely use this again should we revisit the same area.
easy to find. reception very helpful. little tight but we have a small SUV. right opposite Hyde park but out of congestion zone. Will use again
Location is great as it is right on the edge of Kensington Gardens. Parking spaces can be a little tight but manageable.
Super handy for the Royal Albert Hall - but remember the park will be closed by the time you come out, giving you a mile diversion. And you’ll have to get them to unlock the massive gate on the car park before you get out, which is slightly unnerving.
Perfect location, very near to Kensington Garden.
