Making fleets sustainable with your support

Many big transport companies want to make their fleets electric. But with about 75% of their drivers not having access to off-street parking and charging, they seem to be a long way off achieving that goal. This is where we want to help and we need you.

We’re looking for those with private parking spaces (space owners) to help us change that, making off-street EV charging available in their neighbourhoods for local fleet drivers. You haven’t got an EV charger yet? Don’t worry, we’ll install the charging point for you. All you need to do is give a local driver access to it.

And then lean back and watch your earnings roll in. You could earn £1000* a year, all tax-free. Nice.

Helping to cut down the UK’s carbon footprint

By 2030, sales of new petrol and diesel vehicles will end. All fleets will need to swap to electric vehicles, yet across the country there is a significant shortage of public EV chargers causing drivers - especially those driving for business - to worry about where and when they’ll be able to charge their cars.

Our FleetCharge service has been created to knock down this barrier to electrification by matching a fleet driver with a local neighbour who can have a charging point installed and host that driver. That gives the driver a place to park and charge their EV and the space owner some solid extra earnings. Win win.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to give the driver 24/7 access to the charger and parking space?

Yes, you will need to keep the space free for the driver whenever they need to use it. Although you will be aware of the driver’s likely intended use schedule ahead of time.

What exactly is covered in the monthly earnings?

You are paid a guaranteed monthly figure (totalling around £1,000 per year) AND any energy costs associated with the fleet driver charging.

How long does the contract last?

Generally around 3 years.

How can I make sure that the driver will park in the right space?

The driver will be informed where the charging and parking space is located when matched to your area. If the driver parks in the wrong spot, you will have the driver’s details to contact them directly.

Who will be parking on my drive?

You will have the full contact information of the designated driver to your driveway - they will be a fleet driver (for example: private taxis, couriers, utility companies, etc.) who have shifted to driving electric vehicles. There will be only one driver designated to your driveway, so you will always know who to expect and how to contact them.
