JustPark App Now Live for Park and Pay Across Watford Via National Parking Platform Roll-Out
3rd September 2026 – London, UK – JustPark users can now park and pay across all Watford Borough Council parking sites, following their connection to the National Parking Platform (NPP).
The expansion means drivers can now use both JustPark’s app and website to park and pay for parking at 56 sites across the borough, unlocking hundreds of new parking spaces. In addition, JustPark exclusively lists a vast choice of local pre-bookable private and commercial spaces, meaning motorists no longer need multiple apps to pay for parking both locally and nationwide.
The NPP, supported by the Department for Transport, is being rolled out across the UK to modernise parking services and create a more open, competitive ecosystem. By allowing drivers to choose their preferred parking app, it removes unnecessary complexity and makes parking simpler and more convenient. It also enables councils to offer greater flexibility in how parking payments are delivered, whilst reducing the need for costly procurement processes for individual app providers.
Jonathan Hampson, Chief Commercial Officer at JustPark, said: : “The National Parking Platform’s roll-out in Watford marks another important milestone in its continued expansion across the UK. The NPP puts power back into drivers’ hands, allowing them to choose their preferred app and encouraging real competition amongst providers. JustPark is proud to support the NPP's national roll-out and we look forward to seeing further councils follow their lead."
David Sinclair, Executive Director of the NPP adds: We're excited to welcome Watford Borough Council to the National Parking Platform as our latest participating authority. Watford's commitment to innovation and improving customer experience makes them a fantastic addition to the growing NPP community. Every new go-live is another step towards making parking simpler, fairer and more convenient across the UK, and we're proud to be working with forward-thinking councils like Watford to make that vision a reality."
