3rd August 2026 – London, UK – JustPark users can now park and pay across all Birmingham City Council parking sites, following their connection to the National Parking Platform (NPP), with local drivers also able to unlock up to £25 off in discounted pre-booked parking.*

As the UK’s largest local authority outside London, Birmingham City Council is the most significant sign-up to the NPP to date. The expansion means drivers can now use both JustPark's app and website to park and pay at 207 council-run sites across the city, unlocking thousands of parking spaces. Council-run car parks include three of the largest in Birmingham; Jewellery Quarter Multi-Storey Car Park, Millennium Point Multi-Storey Car Park and Snow Hill Multi-Storey Car Park.

In addition, JustPark exclusively lists thousands of pre-bookable private and commercial spaces across the city, meaning motorists no longer need multiple apps to pay for parking both locally and nationwide. 

To celebrate the launch, JustPark will reward drivers who use its app to park and pay in Birmingham, through a new campaign launching from 7th August. For the next two months, JustPark drivers can unlock up to £25 in discounts on future pre-booked parking reservations.*

The NPP, supported by the Department for Transport, is being rolled out across the UK to modernise parking services and create a more open, competitive ecosystem. By allowing drivers to choose their preferred parking app, it removes unnecessary complexity and makes parking simpler and more convenient. It also enables councils to offer greater flexibility in how parking payments are delivered, whilst reducing the need for costly procurement processes for individual app providers.
