JustPark Acquires BigParking to Enhance Matchday and Event Parking Experience Across the UK
2nd March, 2026 – London, UK: JustPark, the UK’s leading parking provider, has acquired BigParking, a leading UK football and event parking operator and software provider specialising in professionally managed event-day operations and community partnerships.
The acquisition significantly expands JustPark’s event parking network with the addition of 120+ locations, bringing tens of thousands of additional parking spaces online near stadiums and venues including Emirates Stadium, Anfield and St. Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park. The deal also accelerates the rollout of JustPark Passes, a pre-bookable parking platform designed specifically for live events, enabling fans to pre-purchase event parking at a fixed rate.
The acquisition also positions JustPark as the parking partner to major UK football clubs, including Brentford FC, Swansea City AFC, Birmingham City and Wrexham AFC, supporting matchday operations and enhancing the overall fan experience. Parking spaces will be available to purchase through JustPark’s marketplace using the EventPass solution, enabling fans to reserve a space and plan for a smooth arrival experience.
Event parking in the UK has, until now, been heavily reliant on on-the-day availability, often creating stress for fans and operational complexity for venues and car park operators. Research from JustPark, which surveyed thousands of drivers* on their experience of travelling to events, revealed widespread issues when it comes to parking:
84% of drivers said parking stress has negatively impacted on previous event attendance.
Over half (56%) have left events early due to parking issues.
48% reported spending over 30 minutes searching for a space at a ticketed event.
The combination of JustPark’s digital reservation technology with BigParking’s national event parking portfolio marks a significant shift towards a more coordinated, pre-planned approach to improving the fan experience.
First introduced in the UK last year at London’s The O2, EventPass enables venues, car parking operators and a broad range of landowners to sell parking spaces at a fixed rate for specific events. Alongside this, JustPark will soon offer SeasonPass, designed for season-ticket holders and allowing them to purchase a dedicated parking space for every game.
In addition to improving the fan experience, Passes unlocks new revenue opportunities for venues, parking operators and local community landowners, and provides detailed insights into parking behaviour and demand, supporting more efficient on-site operations.
Importantly, the acquisition also means JustPark will, for the first time, combine its digital marketplace with established on-the-ground event-day operational expertise, delivered through BigParking’s subsidiary, Event Support Team (EST). EST will continue to manage event-day operations at applicable sites, ensuring venues, landowners and community partners benefit from professional on-site management and customer-focused delivery.
“JustPark has been supporting eventgoers across the UK for years through our pre-book reservations marketplace,” said Jeff Shanahan, CEO of JustPark. “This deal now allows us to roll out EventPass, a product built specifically for the live event experience, at scale. At the same time, it brings a significant amount of new event parking inventory onto the platform, allowing us to support fans at more events, in more cities, across the UK.”
JustPark was already well positioned to become a UK market leader in event parking, following its 2024 acquisition by US event parking technology leader ParkHub (now also known as JustPark). JustPark Passes was developed and refined through use at major US sporting venues, including Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the Rose Bowl and American Airlines Center. In the UK, partnerships include Co-op Live in Manchester and national sporting bodies.
BigParking has been a partner of JustPark for several years. Many of its locations operate in partnership with local community organisations, including schools, churches and mosques, creating additional revenue streams that are reinvested locally. More than 100 community organisations across the UK currently benefit from BigParking’s event-day parking programme.
Sarah-Jane Evans, Director at BigParking, said: “At BigParking, everything we do is built around strong local partnerships, professional event-day management and a genuine commitment to supporting the communities we work with. We’re incredibly proud of the relationships we’ve developed with venues and community organisations across the UK.
“Bringing together our operational expertise - delivered through Event Support Team, with JustPark’s technology, allows us to strengthen that model. This provides eventgoers with greater certainty when planning their visit, while ensuring community and venue organisations continue to benefit from well-managed, sustainable event-day income. We’re excited to continue working closely together as this next chapter begins.”
