The space was not actually on the drive, I was given a parking permit and asked to park my car in a space he had saved with another car. If I had known before hand that it was a parking permit on the road outside his house, I could have made a choice. It probably would have been to park on somebody else's drive.
I was also asked to post the permit back through his letter box.
Even though my vehicle was fine, it could have been a different story.
