Well located centrally for all the best that Southsea has to offer, my parking space is safely and securely positioned behind a block of nine flats, out of sight from passing public. Security sensor lighting is installed.
Location: 2 minutes walk to Palmerston and Osbourne Roads' shops, restaurants and bars. 5 minutes walk to Southsea sea front, D-Day Museum, Albert Road and the King's Theatre. 20-25 minutes walk / 6-7 minutes in a taxi to Gun Wharf Quay, the IoW ferry terminal, Fratton train station or Fratton Park football ground.
Details: The space is located behind the block of flats; so the parking / cars can't be seen from the road. Access is on the left side of the building as you approach it from the road. My space is numbered 8; this is painted on the tarmac. The second space from the far end. The building has several sensor lights in place, for added security and also useful if you arrive or leave in the dark.
Info: The parking space is a regular size but access / exit (turning circle) to spaces is a bit tight. This just means sometimes a little bit of to-ing and fro-ing is required to enter / exit. If you’ve got well adjusted wing mirrors and parking sensors it’s pretty easy however!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU HAVE A VERY SMALL CAR!!! Although I managed get my car into the parking area behind the flats after a couple of attempts, due the angle required to avoid another parked car to the right of this exit point, my vehicle literally got stuck between the walls on either side. This was despite the help of my grown-up son outside the vehicle, a wealth of driving and parking experience in my car and numerous attempts to find an angle that would enable me to exit without causing damage to my vehicle...which is ultimately what happened!

It is almost impossible to get anything bigger than a VW golf into and out of the space.
I think I did a 50 point maneuver to exit the parking area. I had less than a centimetre on my left side and one centimeters on the front.
In the end I had to reverse out

This car parking space is so horrendously tight you can't even get into it I spent 40 minutes together trying to get in and out of it and then a tight corner with 2 brick walls i got out by the skin of my teeth it's just not worth it lol

It is tight getting. In and out with a big car, but we did manage to get the land rover in and out. Getting out was a bit harder and if other parking spots were full, it could have been quite tricky. Great location, convenient and felt safe, Thankyou to my host for making spot available.

Honestly, do not book this spot. Location is great if you want the theatre but my car alarm went off and someone tried to get into it. A nightmare to get into which I anticipated, but to then have my car try to be broken into in broad daylight, not worth it.

Good local very close to the seafront. Parking was a little tight, probably not suitable for a large car, but was fine for ours. Easy to find, good directions.

Great parking space and very close to high street and sea front. Space was behind the building which meant it felt safe leaving it there. As described, it's more suitable for a smaller vehicle so I had no issues parking. Thank you!
