Smithfield Rotunda Car Park

I parked at night and the experience was horrible. I couldn't find my way in or out (as a pedestrian) and the car park was deserted - I felt pretty vulnerable. My car wasn't recognised as having prepaid, so I had to pay on exit anyway. The only thing in favour of this car park is the lack of legal alternative in the area - all the street parking around Smithfield is for loading lorries - and it got busy from 10.30pm onwards on a Monday night.

Not sure if it’s JP or the space used. Paid based on actual time but arrived 1hour early left one hour early. So duration was exactly the same. The carpark tried to charge me extra but the intercom approved after 2 minutes of collecting details and just let me leave. ANPR used to confirm entry and exit. Would be nice if app had more RingGo style features like timers and feedback (arrived early, arrived time, time remaining, 30 mins before end alarm etc). But other than the hiccup at the barrier … very pleasurable experience will certainly use again…. Also surprising price I expect nearly double when my requirement to park arrived.

Prepaid booking for 5 days, everytime we tried to exit we had to manually call for staff help as it tried charging us…

Good spot, enough spaces

Well placed and secured. The system didn’t reconised my car’s number. We just asked to the guard and he opened the barrier for us.

Great car park, plenty of space, secure and easy to find. Central location easy walk to most areas.

Pre booked parking but when I left barrier wouldn’t open so had to pay again at machine which got my reg no wrong by one letter as the ANPR machine had read it incorrectly. I thought I may have put my number in wrongly when I booked but checked email and it was right. I emailed justpark the same day to complain, they got straight back to me and refunded the original booking amount. Great customer service from Stephanie!

Everything works well, but by driving out, it doesn‘t work automatically. We had to contact the service and he let us driving out.

They charged me. Then I was charged full costs by the car park too. I have asked to be compensated but as yet no response from justpark.

Parking was easy but I couldn't exit car park, which was frustrating. The barrier wouldn't lift, when I called Just Park I was informed they had no direct contact with the car park. I spoke to an attendant and he eventually lift the exit barrier. He told me it was cheaper to park and pay on exit. Just Park just over charge for space.
