Off street parking on quiet residential cul-de-sac minutes from Gatwick Airport.
Transport Options:
Taxi
Gatwick is less than 5 mins Taxi ride from the parking space. The airport has introduced a drop off charge (£6) which Taxis have added onto their fares. Despite being so close a Taxi fare will be in the region of £15-20. Ubers are available but aren't always keen to take such a short fare. Local companies to try include Carline-DSM, Roadrunners, Evo - most of whom offer pre bookings.
Bus
Both public buses and hotel airport shuttle buses are within a few minutes walk. For public buses, walk 5 minutes from the parking space to the A23 Brighton Road and catch either the 20, 400 or 100 from the Bus Stop to the right of the junction of Woodroyd Avenue. Fare currently (March '24) is £2 per person. To get the Airport Shuttle Bus (Gatwick Hoppa) you'll need to walk to the Travelodge (10 mins) and get the bus from there. Fare circa £4.50
Walk
You can walk from the Parking Space to the South Terminal in 15-20 mins (and indeed this is how I often get to Gatwick to catch the train to work). If you need the North Terminal you can then transfer onto the free shuttle. The easiest route is to head to Riverside and walk on the path through Riverside Garden Park. This avoids the noisy/muddy main road which isn't pleasant to walk alongside. The Park is safe, however my personal preference would be to avoid walking at night given it's a path through dense woodland so can be a little unnerving!
Train
Another option is to walk to Horley station and then get the train to Gatwick - but in general by the time you've done this it would probably have been quicker to use one of the other methods!
If you don't use it already the Citymapper app is really handy in terms of showing the best way to get to the Airport.

Fine for me as only carried a backpack. If you have suit cases the walk through the park is a bit muddy so dragging cases through that won't be much fun. However it's only a 20 minute walk and straight to the terminal

Two options to get to the airport
> ~5£ bus that starts from the nearest hotel -travelodge (HOPPA BUS) estimate 15min route (+waitinyg for the bus)
> very very muddy and no illumination path behind travelodge(not possible to use if you have any luggage) estimate 25min route
parking is nice and in a quiet area

The picture helped find the place in the dark , as 0430, all the local streets lights were off. It still felt a safe area to leave my car, and was good value. If using again , I'd take a taxi to the airport as the walk is muddy in places, and along side a busy main road.

Super convenient for the holiday inn hotel. Hoppa shuttle bus from there to the airport.
