Stena Line Holyhead - Black Bridge - Long stay (pre book)

No carpark name posted just named T1. All signage referred to Horizion Parking not Just Park. We tried to pay at T1to ensure we paid for parking with a credit card. We did not want to miss our ferry. The pay station at T1 rejected our credit card and refused to release the card. Tried the phone number stated on the signage all to no avail. Consequently, as a result of the above trying to retrieve our credit card we missed our ferry. Very disappointing day.

Booking went OK....but unfortunately when I arrived at the designated car park there were no spaces! I had to find alternative on street parking. As the fee was only £4 not worth hassle of claiming it back. Will not use again.

Without JustPark allowing me to pre-book a parking space in the Long Stay 1 car park at Holyhead, I would have had to cancel my Irish Ferry trip to Dublin (as a foot passenger). If I had not found a space that morning, JustPark would have relocated me to another car park space 0.5 miles away. I managed to squeeze myself into a corner space. When I returned from Ireland there was lots of space around me. The short walk back from the Ferry Terminal building was essential to minimising the personal impact to an octogenarian at midnight in the foul wet and windy weather.

The two car parks had big signs "Car Park 1 " and "Car Park 2" it would have been useful to have had this on our directions email. It was not easy working out where we were supposed to park.

Unexpectedly easy to book (first time I've used this service), although it doesn't guarantee you a spot in this particular very small car park - I was lucky in the end to get what was probably the last free spot at about 7am. Also, you don't get a "ticket" as such to display on your car, so I was a bit uneasy relying on JustPark to tell the authorities at the port in Holyhead in case I got fined, as there was nothing to show I'd paid, but it seems to have worked just fine. Also, paying for 3 days in advance like this was a tiny little bit cheaper than paying for 3 days on the day at the car park machine. As there are no space reservations, you pay in advance and take a chance that there might not be any free spaces on the day. That said, my first time experience with JustPark was good and it's quite likely I'll use them again in future.
