Information about parking in Harrogate
Harrogate is a spa town in North Yorkshire. By the 18th century, the wealthy were flocking there to drink and bathe in the water. The waters are less important today, but Harrogate remains a prosperous town with house prices among the highest in the country. So, where to park?
Some additional information about parking in harrogate, to cater to all your parking needs
Harrogate makes visitors welcome, as tourism brings a lot of money into the area. For a town with such old and narrow streets, parking in Harrogate is relatively easy, and on-street parking is surprisingly plentiful. It’s pay and display, and there are inner and outer zones. In the inner zone, you will pay £4.20 for the three hour maximum – it’s a little less far out. There are also short stay areas, perfect for quick shopping trips, where parking spaces are available for 20 minutes in Princes Street and Cambridge Crescent, and 40 minutes in Oxford Street and Cheltenham Crescent. There is also a Disc Parking zone in the centre – you can pick up a clock disc from Tourist Information, council offices or from many other businesses, and you can stay free of charge for the time period stated on the sign.
