Capital… Appalling experience with Capital Square, Western Approach, Edinburgh. Satnav to postcode provided takes one to Chuckie Pend which is the address for the pedestrian entrance. We needed to reverse out of a narrow lane onto a busy road. The directions on the email confirmation takes one into the basement of the Sheraton Hotel and puts one amongst delivery trucks. Again we had to reverse out. Eventually we found signs to Q-Park but our way was blocked by a refuse lorry. 20 minutes later we found the entrance hidden behind more service vehicles. The approach is tight but we made it on 3rd attempt without damaging our wheels on a high kerb. Despite pre-booking the gate did not open by ANPR and we had to take a ticket. It was now 43 minutes since our booked arrival, though we had been on time. The car park is well lit, unsurprisingly there was plenty of space and seemed secure. On return to the car park the QR code provided by Just Park didn’t work though the ticket we’d been forced to take did. We didn’t want to pay twice so called Just Park’s customer service who verified our booking and told us to proceed to the exit barrier where our number plate would be recognised and we’d be allowed to leave. Of course, none of that worked, nor did the help button at the exit. 10 minutes more on the ‘phone to Just Park and they could offer no help. By this time there was a queue of three cars behind us, becoming impatient. Fortunately for us a cleaner in the car park understood our plight and noted that it was ‘pretty common’ and released the exit gate. We weren’t over our problems though as our exit was blocked by the truck of a shredding company and we needed to execute another multi-point turn and drive down the wrong side of the access road to get to the main road. Poor service from Just Park and a completely ridiculous place to put a car park for Q-Park. We won’t be returning to Edinburgh anytime soon.

Great availability, great price and parking available less than a 5 min walk from the venue (EICC). Paid online so no need for tickets or any faffing, just a swipe of the qr code for access on foot when going back to get the car. Saved us having to worry about rushing out for the last train home, and got to avoid the edin-gla Saturday night last train

very bad experience!!! My vehicule not reconized at entrance and aT EXIT i would have due to pay but i refused, i blocked the car park 20 minutes before the guy on phone opened the gates! Your system of booking is not good at all!!!!!

I give a five star because my car was safe and secure but unfortunately I found the experience very confusing I did not find the car park easy to find then after I had to enter a hotel was given directions by a very helpful guy on reception at the Sheraton hotel after parking I then found it difficult to leave the car park no directions to say where exit doors to street think who owns this car park should test it by asking someone who has never used or been to Edinburgh and make it a simple operation rather than a quest

Bad directions to space, barrier didn't work, qr code didn't work, no customer support available from car park or this app. Going to ask for a refund

I plugged the address of the car park into the satnav and it took us to the wrong place. Eventually found it but my wife was getting very stressed. Once we were parked up I found it very difficult to get back to my car because of these security.Perhaps if the QR code for the carpark was included in the email that was sent when booking the parking ti would have been easier. I would recommend an email, sent when booking the park saying. "Thanks you for parking with us, the entrance of the carpark is on west approach road approximately 100 yards after the carpark to the Sheraton hotel. Once you have parked up you will need this QR code to gain access to your car again."
