What is nearby?
Allocated space for one car, in secluded and safe enclosed residential car parking area. Accessed by gate (not closed or locked at any time) within parking area overlooked by many residential and office buildings. The space is outside our back bedroom window and other neighbours would almost certainly see anyone up to no good! Quiet area and five minutes walk to Haymarket Station and tram and bus stops, ten minutes to Princes Street, lots of hotels near by (eg Bonhams, Hilton, the Haymarket Hotels). Close to the Castle, shops and other attractions and for routes out the city avoiding the worst of the traffic coming in and out of Edinburgh. Ideal for parking for Saturday shopping without worrying about overstaying on a meter by a few minutes and getting a £60 fine! Cheaper than pay and display in central Edinburgh (Melville Street will cost you £3 per hour). And you know the space will be there for you instead of driving around trying to find a space for your Christmas shopping, sales or rugby..... If we are home we keep an eye on your car outside our bedroom. Lots of restaurants, bars, shopping, Festival venues - great for the Tattoo - and avoid the queues exiting from the NCP carpark on Castle Terrace. One stop on the tram from Murrayfield for Rugby and other events (£1.50 per ticket) so avoid crowds and stress! Over 30 five star reviews....
Not absolutely clear where to park due buildings no work being carried out. No allocated parking spaces but all seemed work out ok. Very central. 10 min walk into town.
Easy to find.. Easy to use...great!
Fantastic location, safe easily accessible space and owner easy to get hold of.
Very convenient - good sized parking space (no problem for our Renault Espace). A quiet space that felt safe!
A Knights Rest Guest House
great directions, super parking place felt really safe and well lit, not to far to walk into the city center, great price to pay for peace of mind and safe parking, thank you very much.
Positives: Nice Area of Edinburgh and 15 minute walk into the City centre. Manor Place easy to navigate to on the approach into the City Situation of parking bay felt very safe which is the most important factor! Great Price. Owner messaged to confirm booking which was very much appreciated. Negatives: Directions included reference to south side of the Cathedral, but not being local it was difficult to know which side this was so we drove around the block a couple of times and found the little lane eventually. You need to drive extremely careful when entering the gate as the turn is tight. Bay is narrow but again just need to take care. Thanks Andrew.
