The app accepted my payment for parking at 8am on a Thursday morning and I received a parking ticket at 8.02. Why a parking app would take a payment for a space/location that you aren't indeed allowed to park in, severely confuses me. This is unjust!

Good experience. Just make sure you end you parking on the app. It won't automatically end it for you and this might be why other people have been over charged.
