Sleepy village of Boston Spa and very touristy features bars and restaurants and, of course, lots to see and do. Beautiful walks, local B&B's, we have some gorgeous restuarants ie., Le Box (aka The Spice Box), lots of local produce for either a wonderful English or French meal, then there is the Tapas bar which is visited by our local residents Jeff Hordley and his wife Zoe from Emmerdale, Harriet the Vicar also from Emmerdale and believe it or not we have our own 007 who frequents La Casita, Daniel Craig. There is also Tom Foolery, a bar and downstairs a cocktail lounge, on the opposite corner on the same side of the road there is the Stew & Oyster which has just bloomed since it opened approx 3 years ago (and excellent food too), all with great atmospheres. There is the river walk, a 8 minute drive to Tadcaster where you can picnic next to the river and even swim there should the weather be good enough. Wetherby is a 3 minute drive away boasting lots of shops, and again, restaurants, bars and a wonderful riverside walk at "The Wilderness" which has parking. Just a gorgeous location and although I've lived here for about 26 years, nothing ceaces to amaze me about Beautiful Boston Spa, it's a traveller's delight PS: Stew & Oyster welcomes both children and dogs and has an outside seating area, as does Tom Foolery.
