The parking space is within 30 second walk of Porthminster beach, 4 mins (very pleasant) walk to St Ives centre and 2 mins from the train station.
The car park is secure with access straight from the main road into St Ives (Please note that the car park is accessed down a steep single lane). The space is partly sheltered by the overhead train bridge and can accommodate anything from a motorcycle to 4x4 or van, there is no limitation on access. Come and go as you please.
This parking space is very practical for the beach. Consider your car your personal beach side storage hut :-)

It isn’t clear that the access to this space is very restricted and difficult to get into with a large car ( Jaguar F Pace).
Both the entrance and exit onto the main access road into St Ives is on a bend and needs to be approached with caution and at a slow speed.
Drivers on the main road Trelyan Avenue, need to stop to let cars in and out of Primrose Valley Road.
I think this should have been flagged up in the description.

Brilliant location, right by Portminster Beach and only 5 mins walk from the centre of St Ives. The approach is typically Cornish (i.e. very narrow!) but the car park itself was spacious enough and it felt secure. Would definitely book it again.

Found it easily with satnav. Access from main road is a bit steep and narrow for big cars but not really a problem. Space is really convenient with everywhere within easy walking distance. Would definitely use again.
