Information about parking near Friends Provident St Mary's Stadium

St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton opened in 2001 as the home of Southampton FC, a football club in the English Premier League. It replaced former ground The Dell which, had it been adapted to an all-seater stadium, could have held only 15000 fans. It is used for far more than football, however; there are conference, and vocational training facilities and concerts and films are regular events. As will be seen when we discuss on- and off-street parking, the answer to the question of where to park is by no means a simple one.

Some additional information about parking in friends provident st marys stadium, to cater to all your parking needs

  • On-street parking

The nearest on-street parking spaces to St Mary’s Stadium are in St Mary’s Street, a walk of perhaps five minutes but, except for Blue Badge holders, whose stay is unlimited, the maximum stay is two hours between 08:00 and 18:00 hours Monday to Saturday, and 13:00 to 18:00 hours on Sundays and bank holidays. This is not enough for almost any event, and anyone asking the question “where to park at St Mary’s Stadium?” almost certainly intends to be there for a match or other occasion. If on-street parking is what you want, try parking on the other side of the Itchen Toll Bridge, walking across the bridge and turning right on the B3038; it should take no more than 20 minutes to reach the stadium.
