Parking on Garnetts, CM22

It's the first house in Takeley. Perfect for the quick access to the buses! Since the parking is literally under the tree, you'll get lots of dead leaves on your car at this time of the year.

Bit longer walk than listed, more like half an hour than 10 minutes. Car also got a bit mucky so plan to get it cleaned after you park here. Other than that all good, easy to find if you read the instructions and owner was friendly and helpful.

Good spot, good value for money. 25 min walk or 5 min taxi journey. Only thing I'd say is expect to clean your car afterwards as it is under a tree.

The parking space is beneath trees so expect tree sap and bird crap and there are brambles so I got scratched getting in and out of the car. Appalling directions to the parking spot: not at the address given and "between two bushes". Said he might give me a lift to the airport then said no on the day. His wife came home in her car as we arrived - delayed by traffic and late for our flight. She refused to give us a lift too, saying that she hadn't paid her car tax. Won't be using them again.

Used google earth to see exactly where I would be parking which made it very easy to locate and park up early, (when I wouldn't want to disturb anyone). We just walked , as only had backpacks which was fine, takes about 20 mins of so and you do need a torch in the dark. First time flying from Stansted and Would use again. Don't know how regular buses are but if you have a suitcase would be worth checking, we did see one going to the airport on our way back late. Have a great trip :)

Would have been 5* but took me 5 mins to find the space once I got to the area as the directions were not clear enough. If you are coming from the M25, there is a lay-by both before and after the entrance to Garnetts. The lay-by mentioned in the directions is the second one after Garnetts not the first one. Now I know where the space is would not hesitate to use it again as very handy walk (15 mins brisk walk, 25 if slow) along pavement the whole way.

great help in giving directions and not far from stansted. wouldn't want to do it in the rain as 25mins walk but goes quick!
