Club Information

About About Salford RLFC
Founded in 1873 by a group of lads from Cavendish Street Chapel in Hulme, the club is one of the oldest rugby league sides in England. Originally known as Cavendish Football Club, the club became Salford in 1879 and spent over a century at The Willows in Weaste before moving to the CorpAcq Stadium in Barton-upon-Irwell in 2012, which is shared with Sale Sharks. The famous Red Devils nickname was earned during a tour of France in 1934, and the club has since won six League Championships and the Challenge Cup. Salford RLFC now compete in the 2026 Betfred Championship under new ownership, with an exciting new chapter underway.
