On the day in question we couldn't get into the space as a van was blocking access which had apparently been there a few days.

Excellent - the parking space is accessed from an adjacent road so just be sure to carefully read the instructions first and also be aware that the space is quite small (I was driving a Vauxhall corsa, so it was fine for me, but you have been warned!!)

Good instructions to find the space. Not too narrow for a Golf. Didn't see anyone but very convenient for us and will definitely use again. Brilliant!
