FAQs

Our first winter general election in over a century will take place on December 12th. To help with adverse conditions and ensure good voter turnout, JustPark will provide 30mins free parking on the day of the general election. Through research, we have identified that 3 out of 5 are worried about travel on the day and we want to ensure that there are no obstacles.

The promotion will run from 6:45am to 10pm on Thursday 12th December. You can book your free 30 minute session in advance any time before Election Day, as long as your booking occurs during the times stated.

Our JustPark and Vote hub allows you to find your polling station with ease AND the nearest parking space to your polling station. Once you’ve entered your postcode and selected a parking space, simply select the time you’d like to park and make your booking. The promo code will be applied automatically.

Yes, once you have made your booking, we will send a confirmation email to the email account linked to your JustPark account. You can also view your booking on the app by going to ‘My Bookings’.

In order to make a booking, you will need to register your credit/debit card with JustPark. We won’t charge your card but will require a card on your account in case you need to extend or overstay your booking.

You can add your card details during the booking process, or by going to ‘My Account’ and then ‘Add New Payment Method’.

You will not need to display any proof of voting to use this promotion.

The free space is only available for the 30-minute period. However, if you do run over, we will provide a 15 minute buffer either side of your booking to ensure there’s no overlap. If used, this additional time will be charged at the usual rate of the JustPark provider.

If you do require the space for longer than 30-minutes, you will be able to extend the booking, provided that there is still availability for the location in the extended period required. Please consider that by unnecessarily staying longer you may be preventing another person from arriving to vote.

Click here for instructions on how to extend your booking via our website or app.

Note: Please do make the extension as early as possible, as we cannot guarantee the availability of the parking space after your original booked period. We do always advise booking a time period conservatively if you do think there is a possibility that you may run over your appointment/event/activity.

Overstaying can result in a parking charge being issued if the space has an enforcement company in place, or a penalty charge applied on our end if the space does not have an enforcement company in place. Charges will also be applied for the time you have overstayed for and for relocation fees, if your overstaying prevents another driver who has booked the space after you from using it. You may also be charged an additional £10 as part of our Overstay Policy.

We take every step to ensure our space owners update their availability and create a high-quality listing description to prevent this from happening. In the unlikely instance that it does happen, here’s what to do:

  1. Call the space owner

The quickest way to resolve the problem is to speak to the space owner directly. It’s probably a simple oversight, and the person will be able to move their car. You’ll find their phone number in your booking confirmation email or in the Bookings section of your account.

  1. Contact JustPark

If you can’t get hold of the space owner, please contact JustPark via Live Chat or send us an email. We will do our absolute best to direct you to an alternative JustPark space nearby. Please note, you’ll need to take a photo of the other car in your space.

This promotion is available only for pre-booked spaces and will not apply to any pay on arrival or pay on exit spaces. The promotion will not be redeemable at locations with a minimum rental period of 1 hour or more.
